Camp!

My baby will be going to camp this summer! :-( I have mixed emotions about this! I know, she is going to LOVE it and will learn SO much, but I am very nervous about putting my baby on a bus every morning and afternoon home. I think the rest of it, I am okay with, since she will be home every night but the whole bus thing just worries me! I think had the bus accident not happened, I would not even think about it and not worry at all, but it is still so fresh and it is just really scary!

Brooke is going to love her sister being gone to camp! ;-) She is going to get to spend the day with Mom every day (all to herself) I don't think she has done that since, her sister was born. I am already planning some activities for us. ;-) Off to get some rest, I have 6 months before camp, so maybe I will get braver by then! :-)

Movie Day

Today the girls and Iwent to see Charlotte's Web @ the theater with a friend of mine and her little ones! It was really cute! I forgot how sad it was @ the end! :-( The girls didn't understand that I watched this movie when I was little! After it was on, for like 10 minutes, Emma looked up @ me and said "Mom, can we have a pig too?" HA! I had to explain to her that we did not have room for a pig @ our house! Thank goodness, she did not push the issue!

Blah

Have you ever had one of those days where you just felt kinda BLAH?? Well, today is one for me. :0( I am not sure but I don't seem to have much energy and I don't know what is causing it. It is a GORGEOUS day outside and quite warm. I am hoping it will pass soon!

Off to try to get some more housework done. I can't seem to get a room finished!

Christmas Sales :0)

Well, Emma and I just got home from Wal-Mart and getting our nails done! ;0) I was surprised at all the Christmas stuff they still had @ Wal-Mart. I got some things I will need next year and an inflatable for the yard that the girls wanted so they would have something for next year! I hope to collect enough wreaths for all my windows in time for Christmas next year! We have more windows here than @ the last house so I am short a few! Now, it is time, to tackle one room @ a time, while Emma is off playing with her new toys so that maybe I can get some order restored to this house! :0) I am not sure how much we will get done today, but maybe enough to tell a difference anyway!! ;0)

The girls got a package today!

The kids got mail today! ;0) They were SO excited!! Emma got a new purse, scarf and hat and Brooke got a Dance mania game that she can plug in the TV with a dance mat and dance away! Emma just walked in with her scarf and hat on this morning! HAHA! They loved getting a package in the mail! Thanks Uncle Dale, Aunt Karen, DJ, Dalton and Devon. :0) The kids LOVE thier new stuff!

I got rocking chairs for CHRISTMAS!! :0) I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited! The people that we bought our house from had some really pretty rocking chairs on the front porch while they lived here and since we moved in, I have really wanted white rocking chairs of my own! ;0) Now, I have them, thanks to my in-laws! ;0) I LOVE THEM!!!!! As you can see, they are already set up and on the porch!!

Going to see the lights!

I am a little behind in blogging considering all of the excitement from the holidays, so I will attempt to catch up a little at a time!

Saturday night, we went to Joe Lanza's house on Horsheshoe Trail to see the Christmas lights and sign the Memorial for Nick's dad (Joe). He passed away earlier this year and he has been putting on a Christmas light display for Huntsville to enjoy for many years! Frosty and Rudolph were there and Emma had a WONDERFUL time! She figured out after just a few minutues that she "knew" Frosty's voice and almost gave it away in front of everyone! She was so excited to see Mr. Nick all dressed up as Frosty!

Time for bed, FINALLY!

Well, Santa has been to our house and now it is time for Mom to get in the bed! I have baked cakes and Cheesecake squares, made the Breakfast casserole for in the morning, so that all I have to do is stick it in the oven, wrapped a gazillion presents, cleaned the kitchen twice and mopped all the floors (except the hardwoods ;-) ) and I am exhausted! It is about 2:30 am and it will be time to get up in about 4 hours. I have the camera battery charging and I am ready to go all except for my camcorder. :-( I cannot find my charger and the battery is DEAD! :-(

Emma just came in my room, half asleep wanting to sleep in my bed! Thank GOODNESS, she is not awake enough, to realize what night it is! I would like to get some sleep tonight! ;-)

Phone trouble! :-(

Well last night, Emma dropped my cell phone in the TUB! :-( After letting it dry and dry, we finally realized that it was a goner! I called the cell phone place and they said to call the insurance company since we have insurance on our phones for this VERY reason! They told me it would be a $50 deductable and 7 days before I got a new phone. UGGHH!! Thank GOODNESS, my friend Jess had her old phone still and all it needed was a battery, so this afternoon, we went and got that one, bought a battery and we are with phone again! :-) I never realized HOW MUCH i used one of those things! ;-)

We only have one puppy now! The smallest one was really having a hard time, the other 2 dogs would NOT leave him alone and he was just getting run over so I thought maybe he was just better off with a home without dogs. He is now with a darling family with no dogs just a cat, so maybe he will be much better now! :-)

Off to make my grocery list, I have to go to the store and I am waiting to see if the lines die down!

Still sick! :-(

It seems as Emma will miss her Christmas party @ her school this year! Makes me sad! :-( This is her LAST year of preschool, but this stomach thing still has her down! Maybe it will be better tommorow and we can start back on the road to normal.........

New additions to the family

Will this ever end?

Just as we thought, it might die down around our house, Emma wakes up a few minutes ago, sick to her stomach AGAIN!! UUGGHHHH! When will this ever end? The Dr.'s office said, it could last 4-7 days! Today is the end of the 7 days so maybe this is the last of it. If not, we will be going in to the Dr. tommorow to see what to do next!!

Galaxy of Lights

Saturday night, we took all of the kids to the Galaxy of Lights @ the Botanical Gardens! The lights were really neat and we even noticed a few new displays since last year! The kids got to see James Paul Dice and Dan Satterfield from Channel 19, since it was being sponsored by the TV station!

All the kids picked out thier favorite display and here is the one the WHOLE family agreed on!

Steve's birthday!

Mom is sick now!

Maybe today will be a somewhat better day around here!! I got whatever stomach bug Emma had and spent most of the day in the bed yesterday. They called me from Emma's school and said she was feeling sick again so I went and picked her up! Then after we got home, I layed on the couch all day and Steve took care of kids!

Off to find the Lysol, hopefully, we will all start feeling lots better today!

Yucky day!

Today was one of those days! Definitly a MONDAY!!!! :0( Both girls were home sick today! Brooke started running a 103 degree fever and had it off and on all night and some of the morning. I made her an appt @ 2:45 to see the Dr. He looked @ her throat and ears and said it was just a virus because everything looked good. So hopefully she will be back to school in the AM.

Emma woke me up around 3:30 am sick to her stomach. I gave her a bath to clean her up and put her in the bed with her dad. I then went and got on the couch in the loft, thinking she was fine, but I cannot sleep in the bed with her because her and Steve run me out of there. I checked on Brooke and went off to sleep. Then Steve wakes me up a little after 7 telling me that she got sick again but he took care of her and she is asleep again. She got sick off and on ALL day. We have not had any upchucking sessions since about 4:00 this afternoon, but since then we have picked up the diarrhea symptom. Bless her little heart, she has had a rough day. I have washed sheets, towels and Lysoled almost every square inch of the house. Maybe tommorow will be better!

Other than that, not much going on. The girls have cheerleading pics and thier next game this weekend. Thier 1st game went well. I will try to post some pics later on. (once the sickness has passed.

Steve and I had our pics made together yesterday. I can't wait to see them!! The website is www.authenticphotograph.com! They should be online in a few days!! Well, enough for now, off to drill Brooke on her vocabulary words since she has a test tommorow!!!

Update

The girls have thier 1st game this Saturday! I can't wait to see them in thier little uniforms and ready to go!! :-0) We have to get all of our game stuff together because Brooke will be @ her dad's this weekend and I have to make sure I send it all so that they have it.

Christmas is coming so soon!!! :0( I don't have the 1st present wrapped and under the tree. They are all scattered around the house! Hopefully hidden well enough that the kids don't find them!!! :0)

My car is still in the shop. They are re-upholstering my old cloth seats with leather and putting in new carpet! :0) I can't wait to get it back! Maybe later this afternoon they will call.

Brooke has a field trip in the morning. They are going to see the Nutcracker! Off to find her a red shirt, since she informed me about 15 min. ago, that she had to wear a red shirt! ;0)

Dinner with Santa

Monday night we went to Dinner with Santa @ Earlyworks musueum and to Santa't Village downtown! We had a great time, until Emma threw a fit! ;-) I guess thats what happens when they don't get naps. I made her tell everyone bye and we went home. She of course cried her heart out, but on the way out, we stopped in the gift shop and she was happy as could be again!
