Today is a dreary day! It has rained off and on for almost 2 days! We need the rain so it is not so bad! I am getting ready to leave for the beach on Monday! I am packing and getting everything ready so I do not have to come home to alot of mess. Emma is playing with all of her new birthday presents and staying out of the way while I clean, which is nice. I am trying to get as much cleaning done as I can, but most of the deep cleaning will have to wait until tommorow since, I cannot spray any kind of cleaner in my house until tommorow afternoon. I had to have someone come spray our house for ants and he found that we have a COLONY of fire ants in the house and so he put out bait and sprayed also and told me not to use any type of cleaner in the house for 72 hours. My 72 hours is almost up and I am so glad! :) I am ready to be done with cleaning, but other than picking up, I am somewhat limited as to what I can do. Well, I hear Emma and it sounds like she just broke something so I better go check on her.

I had a very interesting phone conversation with Brooke's dad tonight. We were talking about school starting back, and he mentioned that Brooke was really curious about the school district that we are moving to, when we get done with our new house. We talked about it for a while and he said that he realized that Brooke was maybe leaning towards wanting to live with me again. He said he knew, that she was getting older and needed her mom. She has had a few years of living with her dad and she worships him. It is only him and her so I am sure that is nice. I think she is just starting to realize that it would be nice to have Mom so close and there to talk too. I know it bothers her dad but I think he knew that she would come to this at one time. He seemed in good spirits about it. :) He has done a GREAT job with her, I think he just realizes that he has had her long enough! So we will see what happens, hopefully soon, Brooke will be back home with me! :)

My baby girl, got her ears pierced today! She was SO brave. When they finished, both of her eyes filled up with tears and she wanted to cry SO bad but she didn't! :) She also got her hair cut today. I think they took about 4 inches off. With her new haircut and new earrings, she looks like such a BIG girl!  

It has been so hot outside the last few days. Today, I think the temp was up into the 100's! I don't remember it being this hot last summer! We have been to the pool twice this week and both days, the water was like a bath tub! :( Today, Sandra and Hailee went with us. Hailee splashed around. She would just cry though, when she got water in her eyes. I don't think she ever figured out that she was doing it to herself! Emma made a new friend while we were there! They played with barbies in the pool and had a blast! It was so nice to see her playing! I realize alot of times, that I missed SO much of BRooke being little, since I worked so much! It has been nice to be able to experience all this time with Emma.

She is getting excited about her bday party this weekend. I am trying to get a FINAL headcount which has been a chore. Well, thats about all for today! Time to go get supper started!

Last night was Brooke's party @ Libby Lu! Her dad surprised her with a trip for her and 3 friends to have makeover's! Taylor and I met them down there and I of course took a TON of pictures! :) She is getting so big! Hard to believe she is 8 yrs. old! She had a great time, with all her friends! It was a WONDERFUL way to turn 8!! 

Tonight was the Stars game with the Fireworks. We got there during the 5th inning, because we had a birthday party before the game. Our seats were behind the visiting team's dugout and one of the players saw Emma and threw her a ball. She started to throw it back and we had to stop her. She thought she was supposed to throw it back and they were going to play! ;-) She had a good time, but the fireworks were her favorite part! Steve and I really enjoyed it, but I think some of that was the fact that we had such good seats. We were in the front row behind 1st. base. It was a little warm outside, but other than that, it was great! 

Today, me and Emma are sitting around for a little while, before we have to go do a million things this afternoon and tonight. We have to go by the hospital to see my Aunt, go by and pick up a birthday present for a party tonight @ 6 and then we have tickets to go watch a Star's game and the fireworks. I just ordered us a pizza. I am starving and that is what I was craving!

My half-sister's grandfather passed away last night. She called me about 7:00. THey were on thier way to Louisiana when they got the phone call. They turned around and headed back. When I talked to her they were in Tuscaloosa so I am sure it was late when they got in. I am waiting on her to call me and let me know the arrangements. I feel so bad for her. I know she is hurting right now. :-(

Other than that, I am just sitting here, thankful I am alive and healthy and my family is also.
