Sick!

Well, it has hit me now, I have that coughing/sneezing/runny/stuffy nose thing going on and it is ROUGH! I have had the hardest time sleeping the past couple of nights! It seems like it gets worse at night! Maybe it will be over soon.....

I got an Ipod last night. I stayed up until about 11:30 last night, trying to get it to work, but I am having a hard time, installing the Itunes software. I stopped by a place in town called Giga-Parts and they told me how to fix it. It is trying to install now, so we will see if I can use it soon!! Nothing worse than having a brand new gadget and not be able to use it!

Last night we had my niece spend the night with us. It has been awhile, since we had a baby in the house so it was hard to get used to being quiet when she was sleeping and the separation anxiety thing. She cried every time someone left the room. I forgot how hard it can be when they are little. Here are some pics of her goofing off last night and this morning.

Monster TRUCKS!

Friday night we went to the Monster Truck show @ the civic center! The kids had a great time! I even liked it too. We have been once before and I had forgotten how LOUD it was! ;-) We had pit passes but had them for Sat. instead of Friday, so we just watched from our seats. I think my favorite part was the Motocross bike races. They were not as loud either! :-)

Another one bites the dust.......

aaaahhh! Well as of last night, we are down to just 1 fish! Another one died yesterday! We still don't know what is going on with them, but I am NOT getting anymore, until we figure out what the problem is! Emma is heartbroken that all of her fish have died! :0(

This morning after we got home from taking Brooke to school, Emma and I were starting to get ready to take her to school, when she started complaining of a stomachache and a cough! So, we decided to skip school today, to keep me from having to just drive back and get her if she got sick @ school. After a little while, I decided to take her to Wal-Mart to get another fish since she had finally discovered that hers was NOT asleep!

We go pick up another fish only to come home and 2 of Brooke's had died while we were gone. GOSH! These are not good statistics! Right now, we have one of Brooke's and 1 of Emma's in the aquariam and we are just waiting it out! I think we are going to switch to goldfish if they keep dying like this. $3 a fish is a little extreme, when they are only living a day once we get them home.

Uh-oh!!!!!!!

Well, Brooke and I woke up this morning and went down to check on the fish only to find that Emma's had died. All 3 of Brooke's were still swimming around, but the one that Emma got that was in it's own bag, was floating upside down. I told Brooke not to mention it, until I could figure out what to do. A little later, Emma woke up and came down to check on her fish and saw that it was not swimming. She said "Momma, I think my fish is sleeping"! I said, "Well, he might be, let him rest"! I know, I should have fessed up there, but I could not do it. I am heading out this morning to find a replacement fish so that maybe we can get by without saying a word. We shall see...........

The girls get pets!

Today, the girls got some new pets.....FISH! I guess thats ok, since maybe they will be low maintence. ;0) I hope anyway. Brooke got 3 and Emma got 1. They are both convinced that all thier fish are girls. They have already named them. We got the aquarium set up and now we just have to wait 24 hours before they can be put in there. Oh well, it could have been much worse, I guess......... :0)

My new toy!

I got a new toy yesterday! :-) I got one of those ALL-In-ONE scanner/copier/printer thing and I stayed up until 2am playing with it! Here are a couple of the pics, I scanned in. The 1st 2 are of Emma and the last 2 are Brooke when she was little! I have had so much fun with this thing! I have been pulling out boxes of old pictures to scan! :0)

I survived!

Wellm, I survived the surgery! Still feeling a little sore, but for the most part ok. Steve has been home with me yesterday and today and has been a BIG help! :-) I can drive again in the morning, so all will be back to normal! :-) I have slept so much over the past 2 days, but I still feel like I am not completely caught up! I know that going completly under with anestesia is really hard work on your body!

Other than that, we are all doing well here! Emma goes back to school tommorow, since she was out on monday for Martin Luther King day and Brooke started back today! We missed cheerleading practice, since they were bringing our new TV and we were here with that! The girls didn't even notice, so that was nice! Tonight was Steve's last night to cook supper since he goes back to work tommorow! He made Chicken and Dumplings and they were great! I did not know how to make them but he just jumped right in and did it. He is just that way though! He loves to experiment in the kitchen!

Well, that is about it for now, off to get some rest!

Today is the day!

Well, today is the day! I woke up this morning, mopped the kitchen and bathroom floor downstairs, trying to do a few things to keep my mind off of my appt. I cannot have anything to eat or drink this morning and right now that is killing me! :-( I think I could do without the food for awhile, it is just the drinking part that is really rough!

I am off to clean the girl's room now, I want to get as much done as possible, so that things run a little smoother when we get home.

Another update!

Steve and I both had Dr. appts. yesterday. He had to go to the Dr. about his leg to see what we should do next. They prescribed him some compression stockings, aspirin once a day and sent him for an ultrasound to see if any new blood clots had formed. They did his US yesterday afternoon and found no new clots, just the same one and some scar tissue, so they are going to have to do more tests to find out what is causing the swelling in that leg. Meanwhile, I had an appt. with the oral surgeon (who I loved) He was awesome! His entire office staff was wonderful and made me feel very at ease! My surgery is set up for 1:00 this Monday. I cannot have anything to eat or drink after 6 AM, monday morning, which I am sure will be interesting! The good news is, the kids will be out of school, so I do not have to worry about shuffling them around. They can just say with Memaw @ the shop and be okay!

Other than that, not much going on around here. Emma started school back yesterday and she was SO excited! Brooke is a little happier @ school. She got all of her redo work finished and she has really done well on the homework assignments so far! :0)

Thats about it for now! Off to get some housework done!

UPDATE!

Well, the nervousness is starting to settle in. I am not looking forward to my dentist appt tommorow and on top of that, Steve has to be @ the Dr in the morning about his leg. He told me about a week ago that he could feel the blood clot in his leg moving and the last time, this happened, he was admitted and pumped full of blood thinners. It is a very dangerous condition and thier is a new surgery out that could possibly go in and take out the blood cot, but the Dr. has to check it out 1st. We have an appt tommorow to see Steve's Dr. and then off to the oral surgeon for me!

Meanwhile, I am expecting a call from Brooke's principal soon, to discuss what needs to be done about Brooke's teacher. I am not sure if he will let us switch classes or what, but I need something done soon so that my child is not so unhappy! :-(

It's Monday!

Today was a Monday for sure! I got Brooke up and ready for school, only after a minor meltdown! She is having some trouble with a teacher at school and it is really making her miserable! :-( I am hoping to get the issue resolved sometime this week. In the meantime, I had an appt. @ the dentist @ 9:45 this morning so I get home from taking Brooke to school and I get Emma dressed and ready to go and take her to her school and when I get there, there is only one other child there, so I go in to find out what is going on and Emma's teacher comes out and says that she got the days mixed up so noone had shown up! Poor Emma! She was the one that wanted to go back to school and there was really noone there! The teacher said I could leave her if I wanted, but I thought, since, noone else was there, She could wait until Wednesday, even though I think Emma disagreed! :-(

So then, I rushed her to my Memaw's and rushed to the dentist office, where I found out I have to go to a oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth cut out and possibly a root canal!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!! I hate going to the dentist! Oh well! As much pain, as I was in this weekend, I don't know that anything they could do, could be worse!

Maybe tommorow, will be a better day! Emma goes back to school on Wednesday and she is ready to be able to stay! :-)

Back to school

Tommorow is the kids 1st day back to school. Brooke was not that excited, but Emma was ready to go! She is so happy to go back! It will be better once we all get back into the swing of things! I am off to bed, because the sleeping in is over for a little while!!

Our trip to Earlyworks

Here are some pics of our trip to Earlyworks museum on Friday! We had a lot of fun and got to go with some good friends of ours so the kids were really happy that Trent and McKenna got to go also. I think everyone's favorite part was Biscuits Backyard where they fished and played @ the post office and general store. I think they could have stayed for hours! :-)

Let's try this again!

Well yesterday, we had to have ears peirced again! Emma lost an earring on Tuesday and the hole grew up by Friday so, we had to go have one ear re-pierced! It was not as bad as the 1st time, she never even cried, just jumped a little and it was all over! Maybe, these can stay in and we can eventually move up to some different earrings!

HAHA!

Please don't mind her bed hair or the stack of boxes from Christmas but I had to post this one. The boots just made me crack up! Here is a little fairy princess with her big ol clunky black boots!!! Thank GOODNESS, I do not let her dress herself to leave the house! :0)

I came downstairs this afternoon to a couple of little girls wanting to help, so they were washing dishes! LOL~ I had to inspect and rewash a few of them, but it was nice to know they thought Mom needed some help! ;0)

Sisterly Love???

It will be SO nice around our house when school starts back! The girls are in rare form today fussing over everything. Brooke earned her allowance this past week and Emma did not earn but half of hers so when we went to Kohls earlier, they both wanted to spend thier allowance and Emma was very dissapointed to see the choices she had with her money and what Brooke could pick out! After we get out of there, she pouted for quite a while until I just explained to her AGAIN that if she did not help out, she did not get her allowance, like her sister.

They are together now, playing with Brooke's new Polly Pocket toy and maybe getting along, for a few minutes!

Happy New Year!

This is how the girls spent thier New Years eve! They played Uno, got to have homemade milkshakes and sausage balls and stayed up until 10:30 before they gave it up! We were asleep by 11:30. Just could not take it any longer! :-)

Here are some pics of the girls being goofy this weekend! They all got dressed up with thier pj's and pigtails and took silly pictures! There is even one of them dragging thier brother into it! ;-)
