Dr. Appt

Today we have a Dr.'s appt for Brooke. They are going to check her for juvenile diabetes. :( We are not really sure what the tests will entail, but we are hoping that it is not too extensive. I will keep you all updated with the results.

update..

Whew.. seems like we have some kind of bug around our house again. :( Brooke had something back in Jan and Emma had the flu in the beginning of Feb and now she has something again. She has already missed 4 days of school this month and today was her 5th. :( i am really praying for a speedy recovery in whatever this is so that she will not miss anymore school.

Brooke is getting really excited about camp this summer. She will stay 4 nights away. She did another camp last year and spent 2 nights away from home and would have stayed longer. I don't think I will have to worry about her much. Softball signups were the last couple of weeks. She is signed up and ready to play. I love this time of year!! It is alot of fun to see all of the girls Brooke has played with for so many years and I love so many of the mom's too. :0)

Emma is already talking about dance, so I am guessing she will be back in dance in August. She loved it the year she went, but decided at the end of the year, she was not going back. I decided not to push her and sure enough, after a year, she is ready to go back.

Well, I must go for now, got to get Brooke from school and finish cleaning my house. :)

I love Mondays

My sister sent this to me and i wanted to share it with all of you....

Less than 45 seconds ago I completed my order for an Ice Green Tea with no sugar. It's a daily tradition for me to drink tea. In fact, I am convinced that the tea business will surpass the coffee business, including Starbucks, within the next five years. I have such a great feeling about it that I actually have contemplated on going into the tea business on the side.

The lady working the counter said, "You are the only customer today that hasn't complained about it being Monday." You know, come to think of it, I personally counted 4 people today that have already complained; I said, "How are you sir?" They replied, "Well, not bad for a Monday."

I actually do practice having a super positive attitude; therefore, I walked towards my seat and said, "God, I sure love Mondays and hope to see another 3,360 more of them before I take my last breath." I am making plans to live until I am at least 92 and if you multiply 60 years by 56 weeks, then I'll have the joy of enjoying 3,360 more Mondays in my lifetime. Wow! What an awesome opportunity to live life and enjoy the blessings of God. I am so pumped about today!

I can't wait to finish everything on my must be done list, continue to enjoy this awesome light jazz music playing at Starbucks, take my hour walk, watch the sunset, study the Bible, read a good book, pick up my son from school, enjoy the palm trees on my way to pick him up, drive with my windows down and my music turned up real loud, play with Caleb, help him with his homework, give him his bath, help him fill out his 40 Valentines, tease him about his girlfriends at school, and watch his sweet, little embarrassed smile. I am so pumped about appreciating this 80 degree weather, watching people talk, smile and laugh, eating a good lunch, having a night time conversation with Travis, and dreaming about the future like we do every night before bed. I am so excited about today!

I can't think of one single Monday that I don't enjoy. I don't dread one single day in my life, even if I have a busy day, have to catch an early flight, or make that dreaded call. You can find beauty in every single day of your life. I can't explain it all; however, I do know that there is something that God does very special for people who are thankful and live with a positive outlook. Good things always happen to me and I honestly can't think of one logical reason why I shouldn't be in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the happiest person alive!

Why wouldn't you love Monday? You have a new week ahead of you today. You have the joy of starting over. So last week was horrible, you blew it, or you were sick. Stop! Right now, wherever you may be, take five minutes to write out what you are thankful for, and speak it into your life. Take a few minutes to change your thought pattern about your Monday. Take a few minutes to smile, laugh, smell the flowers, and watch your little kid just walk across the room, with deep appreciation that God has given you the greatest gift on earth. You may be broke, have high pressure from your boss, and feel tired today. However, it's Monday! Today is the first day of the rest of your life. We have the seven days before next Monday and we have the golden opportunity to live it up, dream big, take action, love family, serve God, and enjoy the next 168 hours of our week. Get plenty of rest, eliminate stress, refuse to talk negative or complain, drink lots of water, take a daily walk, read the Bible, and learn to laugh again. Go live a high quality life today. Make this the best Monday that you have ever seen. Determine right now that you are going to see more good than bad and be thankful for every passing minute of this awesome, blessed, and valuable Monday.

The next time you are tempted to say, "Not bad for a Monday" or "I dread Mondays," please consider that there are over 150,000 people who took their last breath yesterday and would love to see just one more Monday. Please slow down and learn to enjoy. Yes, I want you to enjoy Marvelous Monday, Terrific Tuesday, Wonderful Wednesday, Triumphant Thursday, Favorite Friday, Super Saturday, and Sacred Sundays. Ladies and Gentlemen, you'll have to excuse me for breaking a huge grammar rule here, but I have to use all caps right now; "YOU ARE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!" Oh yeah, I also need you to forgive me for using so many exclamation marks. However, YOU ARE BREATHING!!!!!!!!! You have a wonderful gift. Thank you God from the bottom of my heart for Monday and I, at this moment, have exactly 11 hours left of it; I am going to enjoy every single one of the next 660 minutes of this beautiful Monday!
