Today, Emma and I went to Point Mallard and spent the day! We went back and forth between the wave pool and the kiddie pool. We did not go on any of the big water slides because Emma is still to little. We got ther about 12:30 and left at 5:45! I am so burnt and Emma is fine. I know I applied sunscreen on her about 10 times. She kept whineing, saying."Momma!!" LOL! She has no idea, how bad she would have burned if I had not done it! She wanted to swim all by herself in the wavepool. The waves were pretty high and she would just hit them like they were nothing! She kept saying "Momma, Don't hold on to me!" She thinks she is SOOO big! We had a great time and I am ready for bed and it is not even 8:00! I am sure I know someone who will sack out early! ;-)

Tonight, I just finished reading the book, The Davinci Code. I was torn on rather I wanted to waste my money on it or not. After some time, my curiosity got the best of me. While Steve and I were at the grocery store yesterday, I picked up a copy. I got home last night and started reading it and finished it this evening. I am sorry to say, that the book did nothing for me. It did not shake my faith or make me question what I had been taught my whole life. I believe you have to have some faith to get through the book. I would guess that for a non-believer to read the book, the results could be bad. I went into it knowing that nothing in the novel could touch the book that has withstood the test of time. I believe that in the end times there will be many deceivers of men and many men will follow these beliefs and doubt what they know is right. I am glad to say that I have a faith that cannot be shaken by some book. The curiousness is gone. I have cracked the cover off the Davinci Code book and my life is still the same. Not that I ever thought it would not be, I can just smile now and know that when I think of him, I can proudly say. He is what he says he is. He does what he says he does and I am what he says I am in him.

Tonight was Brooke's last ball game. They won 5-3. I was so happy for them and you could tell they were all having a blast. They all played well and thier hard work all season paid off!! I am so proud of Brooke, she is my sweet pea and she makes me love being a mommy!!! 

We just got home a little while ago from feeding the ducks @ BSP. I took all the kids and we had a great time. We dipped our feet in the water and feed the ducks and fish. It was SO hot. The thermometer in the truck said it was 93 degrees and it felt every bit of that! Summer is here and you can definitly tell!

The kids are in the living room playing now and are ready to go back out. Gosh, I was just beginning to cool off! Oh well, off to move the car so they can ride bikes on the driveway........

Who Were You In High School?

Monday was Caroline's awards day at school. She kept her grades up all year and recieved an A Honor Roll award. She got some others also, but I was so caught up in getting her picture, I don't even think I heard them all! ;-) She was asked to lead the pledge of allegiance with some other students in 2nd grade! I heard her teacher say she was a blessing to have in her class. I am so proud of Miss Caroline! :-) 

Tonight is the American Idol finale! I am so excited. Chris was my favorite and when he was voted off, I was shocked!! So, I have picked a new favorite and it is Taylor!! I am not sure if it is because he is from Alabama or because I am not a big fan of Pop Princess girls, but I am really WANTING Taylor to win!!! I watched the show last night and they both did GREAT! I think with Ruben winning AI and then Bo coming in 2nd place has shown America that Alabama is on the MAP with up and coming singers and if Taylor makes it then that will be another one!! Only 9 hours until the 2 hour finale. You can bet, I will be comfortably plopped on the couch awaiting the results!!!!!!

Here is a picture of Brooke at her Awards Day program. She was so happy to get her awards! I am so blessed to have such a sweet and caring little girl! She loves everyone and wants to be everyone's friend! She will talk your ear off, if given half the chance. Her dad says she gets that from me. I have no idea what he is talking about.

It is hard to believe she will be in 3rd grade next year! She will be grown before too long and I am not looking forward to that! 

Today, Emma and I have been hanging around the house and I have been enjoyng the fact that I don't have to be anywhere and do anything other than what I want. The house is ALL clean and there is not much to do, besides sit around and be lazy. I take that back there is nothing to do inside the house but outside is a different story! The yard needs mowing in the WORST way. I got out there earlier and tried to crank the lawnmower but I am not that good with push mowers. Either that or the thing just really hates me. I am not sure which. I tried starting it for 30 minutes and finally gave up. I am not going to worry with it. I know Steve will do it tommorow, I just wanted to have it done so he would not have to worry about it tommorow. It is his Sunday to work and I know he is going to be tired already. Maybe tommorow, I will try again and it will start miraculously. ;-) We will see anyway!

Other than that, I am going to get Emma in the bath and see if I can get some supper so we can get to bed at a decent time. We have church in the morning so we have to get up EARLY! We have missed the past 2 weeks so it will be nice to be back in the swing of things! :-)

Wow! Today was Emma's last day at dance. We just have a few more days before my little one will be on the big stage. It seems like just yesterday I was getting her ready for her 1st class. I won't ever forget getting her all dressed and putting HUGE bows in her hair. She looked SO sweet. I guess it is time, I realize she is growing up... I am not really ready to face that, but time does pass and quickly at that. She is such a joy. A little stubborn, definitly a force to be reckoned with at times but a joy nonetheless. It won't be long now, She is on the verge of being a big girl and no longer a baby...:(
