I took the girls downtown yesterday and snapped a few pics of them, while the weather was still warm enough for it! We were there about 2 min. before the rain came! ;-) It sprinkled on and off the whole time we were there, but we ended up getting a few pics after all!!

Monday again!

It has been a few days since my last post. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of good food and family. The kids played games and had lots of fun.

Brooke got to spend the 1st weekend @ her dad's new house since he got remarried! She did pretty good but she did say, that she had a hard time sleeping there since she does not have a TV yet. Maybe her dad will be get her one in the next week or so. She came home with new shoes that she loves. I always loved new shoes when I was little!!

Emma had a fun weekend as well. I worked on Friday for Memaw and so when it was time to go home, Emma decided she wanted to stay the night with Memaw. She came home on Saturday and we went to the races to see my cousin Lisa and her little ones while her husband raced. Emma loved playing there and can't wait to go back. This last weekend was the last race of the season so she will have to wait until next year!

Other than that, it is just back to normal. Back to school and all the fun stuff. No more sleeping in, which Mom will miss. Won't be long though, and it will be Christmas break! I think I like it as much as the kids do! ;-)

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Well, last night, we got our Christmas tree put up! I know, it seems so early, but I can't help it! I love Christmas time and I could leave a tree and decorations out all the time. The girls are getting really excited about putting on the decorations tonight. I told them we would do it after Brooke had all of her homework and Emma worked on her flash cards. Maybe I can even make some cookies...... Don't know about that, all that sugar doesn't sound so good!!!

The tooth fairy is coming!

Well, I just THOUGHT that my day was over. Brooke just came downstairs and showed me her tooth that she pulled. So, we got her mouth all rinsed out and now, she is laying in bed. I am trying to get her to go on to sleep, so that the tooth fairy can come! Not sure, but if I was guessing, I would say the tooth fairy was going to be up late tonight! ;-)

1st Cheerleading practice

Today, my girls started cheerleading. Brooke made it back it time to go to practice. She was in Gatlinburg for the weekend with her dad and new stepmom. She had the best time, but I think she is glad to be home and back to normal. She has some catching up to do @ school tommorow, since she missed 2 days!

The girls both loved cheerleading and of course I heard all the way home the new cheers they learned. They are both tucked in bed for the night now though, so it is quiet and calm. ;-)

Update

Ok, so I have not updated in awhile, so I thought while I had a few minutes this morning, I would post!

My washer and dryer went KAPUT yesterday!! The washer had been going for awhile, but I had just been hoping that it would "fix itself:! ;-) Finally yesterday, my dryer quit and I called a appliance repairman and he said, they BOTH needed to be replaced, not repaired, but replaced! So last night, we went and looked and they are delivering my new set tommorow! It is amazing to me all the options you have now, I had a hard time, finding what I wanted or needed. It seemed almost like you needed a college degree to pick one out! haha!

Brooke is leaving today to go to Gatlinburg with her dad. He is getting remarried this weekend and they are spending a few days there. She is SO excited!! I am still trying to finish packing her suitcase and match things together. This has been one of those mornings when you cannot believe that you let your laundry go. I am trying to figure out if I should just take a load somewhere and wash it, which is what I will probably have to do if I have time.

Maxine called a few minutes ago and they have taken my Memaw to the ER because she lost her vision this morning. So, I am going in to open the shop! Maybe when I leave there, I will have enough time, before I pick Brooke up from school to run and do a load of laundry. It is not looking promising, but who knows?

Anyway, that is my update for now, maybe next time I post, it will not be SO CRAZY! :-)
