A crazy day!

Well today was a crazy day! I left this morning thinking thinking the only thing I had to do was take Emma to school and come back home. I had plans to plant the pansies that I had bought from Taylor's cheerleading fundraiser. I have had them for almost 2 weeks and I have yet to get them planted. Well, I get to her school and as I walk up, I notice that Emma is the only child that is not dressed up in her Halloween costume. I asked the teacher if I missed something and she said, "Oh I told your Grandmother on Friday that Emma needed to wear her costume for the Halloween party. UUGGHHH!!!! Well, I was in some old pants and a Tshirt since I was planning on coming home and digging in a flower bed all morning. So I drop her off, and head to Wal-Mart to get a cheap costume, since I do not have all the pieces to Emma's costume all together yet. (Which speaking of, I have to do that tonight!) I then search through almost all of them, before I find one that is $25. (The one I bought @ the Disney Store for her this year, was only $19!!) I get the costume and head back to the school. By this time, it is too late for me to go back home so I just decide to stay in town. I then go do a couple of errands, trying to slip in and out of stores not being noticed with the way, I am dressed! I managed to go to Costco and Wal-mart without spotting a single person I know! YIPPEE!!!!!

After all that chaos, the day calmed down lots! I got almost 2 flats planted and the kids played on their bikes and scooters on the driveway and managed to only get into 2 fights in the 2 hours we were out front.

Now, we are done with all the homework and the kids are eating supper so Mom is sneaking on the computer for a little while. Which is a little easier with Matt's new laptop! ;-)

Tommorow night is the Harvest Fest @ church and they are expecting almost 10,000, so I am enlisting backup and making Matt go with me. The girls will have SO much fun with that!! I can't wait!

Emma's 1st field trip

Today was Emma's 1st field trip. We went to the Pumkin Patch and got to see all the animals, play, go on a hayride and pick our own pumkin. They also had a picnic lunch when we got there. Emma had a great time and was asleep before we got out of the parking lot.

I went tonight and signed both girls up for Upward Cheerleading. They will have practice 1 night a week and 1 game a week. They get thier uniforms and pom poms in 2 weeks. They are very happy about that! ;-) Thats about it for now, I am exhausted from all of the days events. This mom needs her rest tonight.

Today is Emma's 1st ever field trip with her preschool class. They are going to the Pumkin Patch and having a picnic. They painted shirts to wear today but they are short sleeve, so we are going to run out and try to find something to wear under it so that she can still wear the same shirt as her friends. I thought I had one, but I realized I lent it out. SO, that is where we are with that. Brooke has Red Ribbon week @ her school this week, which is a week, they get to dress like a different theme each day. It is to increase drug awareness and is held nationwide. So today, she got to wear house shoes to school so that was quite a treat for her. She was very excited.

Enough of me rambling this morning, I have to go get ready to take Emma to her field trip. I will post pictures soon...

I would lose my head.....

Just wanted to stop in and post while I am winding down from the day.

Today was certainly one of those days, when you wonder if you would have been better off just staying in bed ALL day! ;-) I got up this morning and got Brooke up and off to school and then it was home to start it all over again with Emma. I got her ready and out the door and we get all the way to her school and I realize that I forgot her T-shirt she has to have for her school field trip. Well, it is 15 miles one way home from school so I thought before, I go drive 30 miles, I will just drive a few miles down the road and go get another one. By the time, I got the Hobby Lobby, I remember why this is not going to work. I had not gotten dressed decently and had just half combed my hair. I was thinking I would be going to drop her off and come home. I had on flip-flops and I was FREEZING cold outside. When I finally got her shirt back to her, I was already too late to have time to get back home and get anything accomplished so I just hung out in town ALL day! Then I picked up Brooke and she had forgotten her science book to do her homework in so we turned around and I went back in the school and the principal had to let me in to get her science book. I get back in the car and we come home, and get started on the homework. Well, I start looking through her planner and I realize she has left her Reading book @ school also. SO, we could not complete the Reading homework. So after I made it clear that we were not to leave books at school that we might need, it was time to help with all the homework, which took us about 2 hours! Then, I realized I did not have all the meat I needed to make dinner so off to the grocery store, where we spent another hour. By the time, I got home, got kids a bath and had supper made, it was 8:00. I still had to get clothes ready for the next day and get lunches made. I did all that and got the girls in bed and then I started cleaning the kitchen. It was just one of those days that went on and on and on. I hope tommorow is much better! :-)

Monday again.....

Well today, FEELS like a monday! yuck! I am sleepy sleepy this morning so we are lagging a little more than usual. Steve got up this morning and could not find his car keys and so it took us 20 minutes to find them, which usually makes everyone cranky. It is SUPER cold outside so we are having to bundle up a little more this morning. Emma is ready to go to school so she is asking when we are going to leave almost every 5 minutes.

Brooke got up with her stomach hurting this morning. She ended up feeling better before we left so that was a good sign.

Well, I am off to take things to the Post Office and drop Emma off @ school. Then it is back home to pick up the house from kids being here this weekend. It is too cold to do much else, I need to plant my pansies, but they will have to wait!! It is just too COLD to be digging in my flower bed!

The 1st week is over!

It seems that we survived the 1st week of school!! Well, the 1st week for Brooke @ her new school! She did really well on her 1st day and came home and told me that she had already invited 2 little girls in her class over for a sleepover. I had to remind her that we had to wait a little while before we could invite friends over. HAHA! She wasted NO time, whatsoever!

She likes her teacher and likes having her own locker. She still gets a little anxious about finding her way around but I think she will get the hang of it eventually. Thats about it for tonight. I must get in the bed, since we have to get up EARLY in the AM for church!

Getting ready for our new school!

Well, I tucked my 2 little ones in tonight and they are sound asleep. Brooke starts her new school in the morning. We went and got all of her school supplies since she had used all of her other ones @ her old school and some of them were missing. We wrote her name on all of her stuff and packed her bookbag with all her stuff. She then decided that she did not want to buy her lunch in the AM, she wanted me to make it. So, after making Steve's lunch and Brooke's lunch, Emma came in and told me she wanted to take her lunch to school too. So I had to break out her lunchbox. She has been going to the same school for going on 2 years and she has only took her lunch 1 time. So, I think it was just something she wanted to do since her sister and dad were doing it.

I let the girls watch TV in their rooms until 9:30 and then I turned it onto a christian music channel so they would go to sleep. After 15 min or so, they were both sounds asleep. :-)

I then, plopped down in the recliner and watched an entire TV show! I was so excited. I don't think I have been able to watch an entire show by myself since we moved in and I don't think I will be able to do it again for awhile.

It is almost 11:30 and I need to get in bed, since I will be getting up @ 6 in the morning to get a little girl ready for school. I hope she is happy and makes lots of friends. I can't wait to pick her up and hear how her day was!!

If anyone is reading this on Monday October 16th, please say a prayer for my little girl.

Getting in the swing of things!

Whew! I am sitting here @ the computer taking a small break from my busy week. I have been @ home with both of my girls this week and I am so exhausted it is not even funny. Brooke came to live with me this week so we have been trying to get all of her stuff together and get her school stuff all ready to go and I must say, it has been SO TIRING!!!!!! I never knew how rough it can be with 2! lol! I know most of you are thinking "Give me a break"? Well, I am not used to it and as happy as I am to have Brooke back. I still have to remind myself that this is not just picking up and doing everything the same X 2. It is ALOT different! ;-)

It is wonderful though, to have her here. She is SUCH a help to me. I think it will just take some time to adjust for all of us. :-)

Great Pumpkin Patch Pics

Here are some pics from our trip to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Hayden, Alabama. We rode down on Sunday and spent the day with my cousin and her family. The kids had a blast. It was really warm so it was hard to imagine it being pumkin picking time, but it was still fun! I love this time of year. :-)

It is starting to seem more like home around here. We are done with all the boxes and now, it is just hanging all the stuff on the walls. Other than that I am good. I am sure, I will rearrange some things in a month or 2, but as of now, I am ok! I love it here, we have met a few neighbors and everyone is very nice. Well, I better go, I hear the timer going off on the oven......
